Our history
The North Meols Library Association was founded in 2015 following the closure in 2013 of Churchtown’s local authority–run library. Determined to preserve access to library services for the community, a dedicated group of volunteers sustained the vision of a local, community‑led library for the next decade.
With the generous support of the Cornerstone Methodist Church, which provided the premises, “The Cornerstone Library” officially opened its doors on Saturday, 28th October 2023. Since then, it has proudly served the local area as both a library and a welcoming, safe space supporting learning, connection, and inclusion for all.
