Welcome to the Cornerstone Library, Churchtown
The Cornerstone Library is a volunteer-run organisation that aims to provide library and community services to those in Churchtown and the surrounding Southport area.
At the cornerstone of our mission (excuse the pun), we think every community should have access to a safe, accessible space which people can learn, share, and discuss, to support the local community and provide literacy development and lifelong learning to all. The North Meols Library Association was formed in 2013 after the closure of Churchtown’s council-run library, and over the last ten years, keen and committed volunteers kept alive the idea of our own library in Churchtown.
With the support of the Cornerstone Methodist Church, we officially opened in October 2023, and proud to provide library and community services to the local area once again.
The library is supported by our volunteers, donations, and the support of local companies. The Cornerstone Library is able to operate thanks to your support, please consider donating, or volunteering today.
